Youth in Motion retreat

Youth in Motion retreat

Youth in Motion, St Louis' Kenyan youth group held its youth retreat on the weekend of 27th July - 29th July 2007. Based in Christ Covenant Church, the group travelled an hour to Southern Illinois to the Lake Williamson Christian Retreat Center. There were various activities and discussions for the attendees as well as uplifting praise and worship. Speakers for the retreat included Pastor Catherine (NY), Pastor Joan (MA) and the SOHIM team of Hottensia, Ephantus, Abel and Prof. Priscilla. There was also a Saturday night "dance till you drop" shakie leggie session with DJ Fresh. Other activities that members were involved in included swimming (in lake, outdoor or indoor pool), soccer, boat rowing, water slides, "rock" climbing, camp fire among others. For most, the weekend ended too soon. For others, it was life changing as some gave their lives to Christ.
