Kenyan Gospel Official Directory

We introduce a new revolution in the way you get your information. Infact we give you 100% control in the new Kenyan Gospel Official Directory, a database of musicians, churches, individuals, events, institutions, athletes, organizations and links. For the last few weeks, we have been working on a mega directory that will give you tons of information geared towards the Kenyan community. The major strength is that ANYONE can add or edit the information on it. You don't even have to sign in to anything. Let's backtrack a bit. As you may be aware, most of the artistes' profiles on our site are outdated and rarely updated. The same goes for most information we seek from other numerous websites. Yet, the information we hold as individuals and a community is vast and can easily be collated for immediate use and for posterity. It is for this reason that we created the directory. We are using the wiki software that powers the mega site Wikipedia.com with a few customizations to lay the structure and make it easy for anyone to add or edit information. You also do not need to have complete information to add it to a page. Other directory users will fill in whatever you may have left out. Check this out.

We have a Music section where artistes, dancers, DJs, producers, groups, emcees etc can upload their profiles. Infact, we have created pages for a majority of these musicians and anyone can start loading information about them. You could start by adding their myspace links, recent projects, collabos and whatever little information you may have on them. Then someone else can add more information or format the page. This way, the information will always be current and relevant.

In the recent past, we have received numerous requests to add website Links to our site. We have started a comprehensive database of Kenyan websites incorporating all fields from government, business, computing to churches, education and media etc and anyone can freely add their website to the list.

We have also added an Events section where you can freely post your events (including posters). What's more? You can even write your own recap of an event. We will be sharing the best recaps on this site's homepage and offer others an opportunity to write official recaps for the site (so please include an email or something). Continuing with the writers, we have a blogroll section where you can add your blog site. When we get enough sites there, we will aggregate the blogs and feed them to the main site. If you don't have a blog site, you can write articles on the Opinions section.

Have you seen a news article that you want to share? There is an entire News section for you. We hope this will be a busy section. The Jobs section provides an avenue for you to hook one of our visitors with a job. The sections are self explanatory. We also want to build the biggest database of Kenyan institutions, schools and organizations in the Institutions and Organizations section. The Sports sections will likely be dominated by athletes' profiles as well as team stories. Lastly, we couldn't omit the Individuals section where you can put up your pastor's profile as well as your own profile.

Try to be as creative as possible (and not too formal) and have fun as you add and edit articles. All this is done annonymously although there are some benefits if you create an account such as "Watch" an article you create where you're automatically sent an email if someone edits it. There is a Quick Start article on the main page to show you how to start editing in less than 5 minutes. Be part of the new revolution, won't you? CLICK HERE
