TALANTA AWARDS 2008
The event kicked off at around 8pm. Thomas Njuguna (Toma) from Indiana and Faith Mwaura (Imani) from Dallas were the MCs for the night and did a splendid job keeping the ceremony vibrant. All nominees walked down the isle and were welcomed by the distinguished guests and pastors in attendance. The opening prayer was led by by Pastor Kihoro from NC and thereafter The Musters Patron Maggie Karuri welcomed everyone and shared in the vision of Talanta Awards. Watch the entire awards show again. Not even a second is not recorded. We divided the video into 5 parts.

Part 1 - In this part of the video, you see how it all started. The entrance of the nominees, the opening prayer and the sharing of the vision by Maggie. (Make sure you watch esp the 8:40 minute mark of the video)

Part 2 - Maggie finishes sharing the vision and welcomes Rev Dr. Joseph Njoroge who introduces the distinguished guests present. He also has a message to everyone and then inaugurates the event. Looking for your friend who was present? Check out this video, especially when Dr Njoroge is sharing.

Part 3 - Toma and Imani are back in white gear and formally introduce themselves. The ceremony now is in top gear as the nights first bunch of winners are announced. Towards the end of the clip, see what happened when there was a technical hitch with the voice over.

Part 4 - More awards are given out as more guests are welcomed to present awards to the winners. The kids are also called upon to dance on stage. The MCs also have another change of outfits.

Part 5 - Last part of the awards ceremony with more awards plus the closing. Funny how the MCs don't notice that their mic records each and everything they say...even when they think they are talking amongst themselves. Laugh out loud!
