Kansas City, KS - The Simply Jesus conference was held on 10-12th April 2009 in Kansas City, Kansas. Organized by the Ahadi Youth Ministry of the Gospel Outreach Center, the event attracted participants from Minnesota, Dallas, Tennessee, Atlanta and Boston among other cities. The main speaker of the event was Pastor Phineas "Phin" Kinuthia of Houston, TX. Attendees arrived on Friday evening where they were registered for the event. After dinner, there was a session of praise and worship from SIFA voices which is a group of singers based all over the US. After introductions and welcoming statements from the hosts, Pastor Phin delivered a powerful message and the meeting ended at around 11pm. All attendees from out-of-state were booked at the Marriot Hotel courtesy of the youth ministry.

On Saturday morning, Pastor Muniu from Upendo Church in Dallas shared the word followed by a question and answer session with a team of about 10 panelists. Everyone then headed to a local park where lunch was served. Thereafter, there were games and activities which included an obstacle race as well as tag-of-war contests. A formal dinner was organized that evening as participants jumped in their ties and evening wear. Pastor Phin continued with his message giving way to a fashion show. The night was capped with a dance session by DJ Fresh that went on till 2am.

On Easter Sunday, Pastor Phin concluded his message in the church service at Gospel Outreach Center. Other Pastors who attended the conference included Pastor Live Wesige from Dallas and Pastor Paullycarp Orego from Texas. Lives were changes and souls were nourished as the successful conference came to an end. Kudos to the Ahadi Youth Ministry for the outstanding job.
