REACH 4 LIFE WALK RECAP

The Reach 4 Life Walk was held on Saturday 20th September 2008 and started at St. Andrews Church, Nairobi. It was organized to raise money to buy Bibles for High School students. Event organizer Jesse prayed for the walk and safety and Pastor Gowi flagged off the 5km walk. The St. John Ambulance paramedics were also on hand for first aid. It started at about 9:30am and participants walked to westlands then back through KBC, Uhuru Highway and onto Nyerere road to St. Andrews.

At 11:30am, all were back to the venue and were served refreshments with music entertainment on hand. Mr Julius Kitheka welcomed the walkers and other guests in attendance who included artists Victor Mbuvi, Linda Orocho, Collo and Adanje. Mbuvi geared off with Nisamehe and thereafter brief testimonies from parents and beneficiaries followed. High schools students from Nile road High School and Uhuru High School gave the testimonies of what God has done in their lives through Reach 4 Life. Pastor Ken and Pastor Henry also shared and advised the students on choices in life. Mbuvi took it up again with Ukilya Moko, then Kipepelelo.

Collo was next with Bwana ni mchungaji wangu giving way to Lydia who talked about the 50 Days of Revolution. Mr. John Ng’ang’a passed the vote of thanks to all who made the event successful and thereafter Linda Orocha finished with her song Tuma Mvua.
