Towards the end of 2007, we witnessed the birth of a 24-hour Gospel music TV station called One Gospel on DSTV. They then started a show called On the Mic that showcases the best of East Africa and with a strong emphasis on upcoming musicians. Artistes do a live performance which is later aired on KBC and Dstv. DJ Jey and his outfit, Badilika Deejays landed a deal to be the show's resident deejays. On the Mic is now inviting different churches and youth groups to be part of the audience. Make sure your church hits up the show if you want to be on TV. The show is directed and produced by Urban Brew at Film Studios and is hosted by Naomi. We caught up with a local youth group during one of the shoots.
