UPDATE: 4th Nov 2009 - After a week following the launch of the new music download service for Kenyan artists on the new site KenyanDownloads.com, there has been a tremendous response from Kenyan music fans. The site already has over 200 registered members and is growing by the day. Sales of artists' music has also been steadily climbing as users update their music collection with the latest gospel music. There are several new additions to the site. A new Listeners menu has been added to the main menu with an array of registered users (listeners). The page only lists those who have activated their accounts through an email sent after registration.

Another important feature on the site has been the seperation of Gospel artists from the rest. As we reported earlier, the site is in collaboration with KenyanGospel.com where we provide and / or monitor the gospel content of the site. Any gospel artist is free to register on the site. There has also been an influx of Artists that have registered accounts without uploading any music and / or profile pictures. Their accounts have been suspended on the main Artists' page but they can still login and access their control panel. (We assume you are familiar with the site. If not, read this article for an introduction to the new site). After uploading their music, they can then contact the site admin to reactivate their account.

A new audio player on the site has been installed as the previous one had some issues and was not reliable. The music should now stream smoothly without any problems. A cool addition that should make more people register for accounts is that the preview length of songs for those who are logged in has been increased to 50 seconds. The general preview length for those who choose not to login is 35 seconds.

The main music page of the site has been randomized meaning that every time you click on it, you will get a different set of singles to preview. There is a list of 10 random singles and to make sure you do not miss any new music, the last 10 singles that have been uploaded on the site are also displayed on the page. On the side bar of the site is the audio player and below it a list of random albums from artists on the site.
