On the night of 24th July 2008, gangsters stormed the home of K-Krew's frontman DJ Moz near Kianda School and made away with his DJ Turntables, mixers, TV, Radio, 5 Cell phones, shoes and clothes. Fortunately DJ Moz was not in the house at the time but his K-Krew right hand man Njugush (John Njuguna) was in the house together with Andy (a K-Krew volunteer) and Johnie (Kinijo) of the Stompers. Andy and Njugush were having a discussion as Johnie was practising with the DJ equipment. Speaking to KenyanGospel.com, Njugush explained that they were expecting DJ Moz in the house shortly and had not locked the door. Over 15 people armed with pangas (machettes), rungus (bats) and stones stormed the living area and hit Njugush with a plank of wood then started grabbing equipment. They also cut Kinijo on the lips and he was taken to hospital where he got some stitches.

The K-Krew has been a very vibrant youth ministry in Nairobi and across the country. They have organized the highly successful "Totally Sold Out" (for Jesus) events in Nairobi (twice), Mombasa, Nakuru and Kisumu. They also have a very active high school ministry and have toured numerous schools across the country and led dozens of "challenge weekends". They also partner with several churches and help them out in their events. The K-Krew has three radio shows playing on two radio stations across the country. One is Kubamba Radio, the longest running Christian radio show for the youth that airs every Saturday on Hope 93.3FM and heard in Nairobi, Western Kenya and Mombasa. Another is "The Crossover" that is aired on Homeboyz Radio 91.5 on Thursday nights from 10 - midnight and also "The Crossover - DJ Edition" airing on Sunday nights. K Krew's Njugush also presents the Hope FM's Drivetime show every weekday from 4-7pm and also presents "Mwamba", a gospel show airing on Sunday mornings from 7-11am on Homeboyz Radio.

Hundreds (if not thousands) of youth have given their lives through this ministry and many more have been positively changed. We at KenyanGospel.com fully support the K-Krew.
