Juliani Album Launch

NAIROBI - Juliani's (Julius Owino) much anticipated debut album launch finally took place on Saturday 18th April 2009. Mavuno Dome in South B was the venue for the launch of the album titled Mtaa Mentality. Power Radio's breakfast presenter Gowi Odera was the MC and DJ Johni Celeb was the man on the decks. The whole Kijiji Records crew was on hand to support their former artist who signed on to UK based Gatwick Records a few months ago. Newly rebranded Chit Chat group (formerly Hip Hope) provided back up for Juliani.

When the man of the moment stepped on stage, the crowd went wild. Dressed in a grafitti laden t-shirt,  Julianigrabbed the mic and performed Ka Si Sisi off his album backed by a live band led by Aaron ‘Krucio’ Rimbui. He then performed ‘Mtaa Mentality’, ‘Biceps’ and ‘Hela’ as the crowd sang word for word. Wiggling his long dreaklocks, his energentic performance electrified the crowd as he delivered with his trademark lyrical prowess.
