NAIROBI - The Groove Party was one of the biggest gigs in 2009 and was held on Thursday 31st December 2009 at the KICC. Organized by DJ Kev's Mo Sound Entertainment, the event pitted the best Gospel acts in the country such as Daddy Owen, MOG, Holy Dave, Kambua, DNA, Webi, Zidi the Band, Jimmy Gait, Dunco, Ngashville, Chit Chat, Rufftone, Lyn, Hey-Z, Gravity, Neema and lots more including Rose Muhando from Tanzania. The show started at 7pm till dawn and was broadcast live on NTV. MCs for the day were Astar and Alemba.
CHECK OUT MORE PICS OF THE EVENT The stage was professionally put up with a creative backdrop. Add the fantastic lighting and quality sound, and that just amped the whole event. DJs Mo and Sadic kept the music flowing to wild cheers from a packed hall that could easily have topped 10 thousand. Infact, organizers had to shut out thousands more as the hall had already reached capacity.
We're not sure if it was excitement for being the select few that managed to get into the hall, or being on live TV or the countdown to the new years, but there was a marked energy in the crowd through out the entire event. Pictures can tell a thousand words so check out the pics to get a feel of what we could describe on Check out the recap and pics of the 2008 Groove Party |
