GOSPEL JAM MINNESOTA RECAP
Fri, 19 Jun 2009

On Saturday 13th June 2009, Minnesota played host to the Gospel Jam organized by Mzizi Church, DJ Fresh and KenyanGospel.com. The event started at 4pm with what they referred to as the Summer Splash event, which was a family fun day at the park. There was a lot of socializing as Kenyans from all over Minnesota congregated at the Jaycees Shelter Park. Nyama choma flowed in plenty as was hot dogs, burgers and general food. There were also fun activities and games such as tag-of-war that also made the elders feel young at heart. The best in Kenyan Gospel music was also blaring throughout the event with DJ Fresh on the decks.

The day's MC and event organizer Dan Muchiri did a commendable job in mobilizing everyone into the various activities. Mzizi church senior pastor Richard Munala also shared a five minute message and also thanked everyone for attending. Also in attendance was Arthur Kamau, who is the producer of the gospel TV Show The Stomp and also a manager at MTV Kenya.
