DADDY OWEN LAUNCHED UTAMU WA MAISHA ALBUM
Wednesday, 14 December 2011

Gospel artiste Daddy Owen has released his second album Utamu wa Maisha. The four hour televised affair featured fellow gospel artistes BMF, DNA, Emmy Kosgei, Juliani and Danco. Daddy Owen, whose previous album King of Kapungala, put him in the continental map helping him scoop the best Male artiste award at the MTV Africa Music Awards's (MAMA's) this year, was on stage for two hours.

His first set set was only hits while the second featured only new material from his new album. This was the first digitally launched album in the country with over 3000 people in attendance.

Presidential aspirant,Raphael Tuju, was also among the guests and even shared a light moment with the crowd when he called the album Maisha Bora. Daddy Owen now comes off as one of the most successful gospel artistes in Kenya having outdone his brother Rufftone and many other artistes who were there before him.
