Christ Harvesters Church hosted the Thanksgiving Weekend dubbed Break Free from Thur 27th - Sun 30th Nov 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was streamed live on KenyanGospel.com with thousands viewing the celebrations in Atlanta and Dallas simultaneously. Pastor Joseph Njuguna was the main speaker. Several artists performed including Fred Obare, DKamaa, Holy Ghost Boyz, Holy Ghost Galz, Gospel Revivers among others while DJ Vinn and DJ Ryan kept the music flowing all weekend. The power of God was eminent as the break free experience and airwaves filed the air in Atl. Ga. No one can doubt it. As one minister to the other took the pulpit, the message “ I will walk in the of path of righteousness, for you have set me free” psalm 119 :39, filled the sanctuary, throughout the thanksgiving season. It was a weekend to memoir. As people flocked in from different states to be set free, the feeling was awesome and thrilling. Different artists flavored the whole events with different styles of music. Hip hop, rap, choreography’s and yes, great worship. I'm amazed by what God can do , by his faithfulness and love. To whom my God can I compare you with? As the conference commenced, there was great expectation of a mighty move of God, not only to the organizers but also from the teams that come from different stats. Apostle David Karanja of Christ Harvesters Ministries International opened the meeting with a powerful prayer session. There wasn’t much planned for Thursday, for it was the day to welcome the guests. As Apostle David led the prayer, the wave of the power of God struck the whole sanctuary and our welcoming session turned out to be a great day as praises ad worship filled the air. The preside of the session, brother Isaiah, invited the main speaker of the conference Pastor Njuguna from the United Kingdom, and the whole sanctuary was filled with a shout of praise to God. He touched on a little of his message stating, "for you to be promoted , you have to be demoted, you have to loose a job, for God to give you a better one. God has to humble you for Him to exalt you." Good food was part of the celebration with nyam chom (barbeque) and ugali on the offing not forgetting some turkey. The power of God showered the whole thanksgiving extravaganza as no sooner had it started than it ended.
