Sheila was born twenty something years ago in Nairobi, Kenya. She grew up with various influences to her music, her father and brother being lovers of music. She listened to a wide range of music growing up from classical to lingala and much else of what lies in between. Few years latter, Kenya presents to you this beautiful lady with great potential in the music field. She is hard working, determined, and loves God.

PROFILE

Sheila started singing while in high school at Moi Girls School Nairobi. She was involved in practically everything musical while at school including school choirs, group acts, music club, drama and Christian union. This is also where she became a born again Christian in 1997. After school she pursued her musical career with a girl group called "truth". Soon enough the group was touring all over the city in various gigs. That's how Sheila started out in the music industry five years ago and she has never turned back.

In December 2001 the group did a Christmas tour along side a well known Kenyan group (Milele) to raise funds for the children homes in Kenya. In November 2002 she released her debut self titled album. By this time Sheila was already a solo artist. Two years down the line Sheila started working on her second album to be released latter on this year. (2005) Sheila to date has ministered in over 500 gigs all over East Africa

FIKIRA MINISTRIES

Sheila's ministry stems from Isaiah 61:1-6. For the spirit of the living God is upon me, he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, a release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim, the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance, to comfort all who mourn

Sheila's ministry is a prophetic ministry in that her messages are for the edification of the church (Philipians 14:3 & 4) Sheila's mission is to see the body of Christ strengthened and renewed by the revelations of God through her music. Fikira ministries stems out into fashion design and Christian art and poetry. Sheila strongly believes that one is defined by their thoughts and what we wear more often than not is an expression of what we think and thus what we think is what we are. Sheila has been involved in ministry since high school. she was in the CU choir then and was also in a few girl groups. Sheila is also in kubamba ministry which does school tours while campaigning for abstinence till marriage and aids awareness.

Sheila is a song writer, a dancer ,an artist, a model, and a poet. She attends the water brook, a ministry founded by the father of contemporary Christian Music in Kenya, Pete Odera.
She serves there as a worship leader. At her free time she loves to swim and play guitar.
She loves traveling as well.
