Meet a new Kenyan artist making a big wave in the U.S Julius Kamau is not new to music. In fact, he has been singing since he was in Kindergarten. He is widely known for his back-up vocals in various Praise and Worship teams in Kenya and around the U.S. The Massachussetts-based artist is excited about his debut single that is receiving very good reviews from fans all over. In fact, his first gig was curtain-raising for California-based gospel group Milele.
Julius was born in Nairobi and is the second born in a family of three siblings. He was raised in a Christian home and used to attend Redeemed Gospel Church, Huruma. He was in his High School choir and soon after High School joined Bishop Margaret Wanjiru's Jesus is Alive Mass Choir. He then joined the World Harvest International Ministry with Apostle Martin Ssuna under his spiritual guidance. "While attending one of the services, the Lord took me into a trans and therefore appeared before the throne of God. With His beauty the Lord gave me a mandate to take the level of Praise and worship in another level", he says. And with passion, he undertakes his mandate to churn out songs as like the one above. His is a merger of common Praise and Worship songs with an urban beat.
Apart from singing, he is also an experienced drummer and also plays the keyboard. Expect this young man in his mid-twenties to drop more music and more gems CONTACT
